      Steve Jobs dies(October 5, 2011 ): co-founder,chairman, and chief executive officer of Apple Inc, the mastermind behind personal computer, Apple's iPhone, iPad, iPod, iMac, iTunes, and the name APPLE itself, has died, as Apple said. Jobs was 56. Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being. 

       “We are deeply saddened to announce that Steve Jobs passed away today,"read a statement by Apple's board of directors. "Steve's brilliance,passion and energy were the source of countless innovations that enrich and improve all of our lives. The world is immeasurably better because of Steve.His greatest love was for his wife, Laurene, and his family. Our hearts go out-to them and to all who were touched by his extraordinary gifts."

      The homepage of Apple's website this evening switched to a full-page image of Jobs with the text, "Steve Jobs 1955-2011".

Search giant Google has entered teens today, the tech behemoth has turned 13. Officially a teenager, Google celebrates its birthday with a doodle that shows the five letters of the company logo wearing party hats placed around a cake with balloons and gifts around.

Larry Page and Sergey Brin started Google Inc in September 1998 with four computers and an investor's $100,000 bet on their belief that an Internet search engine can change the world.

The company though filed for incorporation on September 4, 1998, and Google.com domain was registered on September 15, it officially celebrates its birthday on September 27.

Long Long Day...

From morning to afternoon it was a "kulam " work, grt fun with all paalam team, i think its da best involvement of mine at native. After finishing the work everyone was tired but all wer happy to see the work, the masjid pound is beautiful than ever, in between grt funs from all side, faizal, safeer,shafi ... then tea n lot of rumors... haneef n sumbaaarum controversy , den at last elanni fest... den me jus came back, jus get ready to go for the marriage fun in a hurry...

Den went for marriage, @ feroke , Royal Alliance Auditorium , its Midhun Sha Weds Jaseera , both studied with me, one at school n higher secondary n other with me in college n still . actually got invitation from both sides, but i choose to be at Feroke. reached @ 5:30 pm which is a bit late dan i planned.. jus go the stage ,met both, both looking grt, Midhun like a Raaaja...:) , have a chat, happy to see them, met Shahavudeen sir too ,then searched foor muhammadaali, der with him, laavish food, den met bessaaam, juman, asif , sarath, shajahaan, abbaska, rafi ,jaisal ,jabbar sir, a lot of farookhians, staff... election result discussions... den late came back with sarath, juman, rafi, asif... mast chit-chat... den to beach... sarath n asif went back... der with juman , rafi n der university frnds... niz to seee the masti.. later went back home...

Wish both Midhun Sha n Jaseera a happy married life. May Allah bless u both in life n life after...

Kerala Election 2011 , UDF Wins in a Photo Finish...

 So thats the final picture... almost.... Congrats UDF, and grt to see LDF coming with strong fight. CPI(M) stands out to be the biggest single party with 40+ but thats not enough this time. League stands out with 20 out of 24, that made the difference, the party which got the most shining victory...




me jus respect da results.... happy to see the strong fight, but its LDF's big failure that dey didnt able to make the benefits n merits of 5 yr ruling , that didnt reached to ppl... thats their mistake, nothing der to blame others...

Mother's Day

i dont belive in these one day fest... mother's day, father's day ...bla bla bla... but but..we need to feel the true love n care of Da Mother... its not "1 day wishes n 364 days of ignorance " but "365 days of remembrance n Life long care n Love "

Sad to see ppl celebrate everything like anything... with out any feel jus moving the life like a wheel....

 its jus my broken thoughts...

Am not telling that if any one does wish dey all... jus said abt those who belong to "1 day wishes n 364 days of ignorance ", Should we need a Day for that ? these are the questions at the face of Society only not at individuals... 

Why our media, commercial companies n all dont give importance or dont celebrate Earth Day, Ozone Day , AIDS day ...etc ?!, bcoz its all awareness days n u cant make news of it neither u can get a lot of money as profit... Jewelery ppl r doing the same with making Akshaya Thrideeya as somthing BIG than anything... 

Its all marketing Human feelings... even having a day n so much wishes, y we got a lot of OLD HOMES ??!!! these to @ the face of society...

am not saying dat any one here vl sent their parents der , but we can see such in our own kerala... dont misunderstand dat its against ppl who does wish, its against who celebrate but never care abt it a lot...

Osama spreads virus

The dreaded terrorist may be dead, but he continues to haunt the world through a fast-spreading virus

Dubai: Osama Bin Laden has risen from the dead to haunt the world - this time as a fast-spreading computer virus.

A seemingly innocuous Facebook message which contains the attention-grabbing headline - "Osama dead - censored video leaked" - has wreaked havoc in Dubai and across cyberspace.

Fast multiplying

"The virus multiplies exponentially - primarily because of Facebook being so popular," said Kazi Mohammad Akram, General Manager, Ras Infotech, a Dubai-based representative of F-Secure and M86 web content security firm. "It's early to tell the extent of the damage in the UAE as it assumes many forms," he added.

Finnish security company F-Secure first threw out an advisory about the virus on Monday, The FBI issued a similar warning on Wednesday.

"It's a comment-jacking scam in which every click or comment on this [Censored Osama video] Facebook post is hijacked and sent to everyone on your friends list. We're expecting various flavours of this scam to continue spreading in the next few days - including search engine poisoning and malicious spam e-mails," said Akram, advising people not to open unsolicited emails. "Go to safe websites only for news or information," he cautioned.

Bin Laden's death on May 1 meant millions of hits on the internet - giving virus makers the perfect opportunity to infect computer users.

Hackers poison search engines by creating websites using ‘hot topic' search words - such as "Osama" or "Bin Laden" - that then download malicious code when clicked.

Ryan S., a Dubai-based logistics executive said: "I've seen many online friends auto-posting the link on their profile. In one day alone I must have deleted over 150 such posts."

But apparently, the virus with a password-nicking payload mutates by the day and clicking on the image continues to unleash untold misery. Yesterday, a virus variation - "Laden is holding a newspaper with today's date" - made the rounds on social networks.

Hackers have used Bin Laden's name before. In 2004, spammers that gave links to photographs of Bin Laden's "suicide" conned users into opening a file that installed a Trojan which gave the attacker control over a compromised computer. In 2005, a message that purportedly offered TV grabs of Bin Laden's "capture" contained in a ZIP file actually contained a version of "Psyme", which steals user names and passwords.

Caution

• Don't open a URL address posted by a friend on Facebook that claims to contain a video of Osama Bin Laden being killed
• Don't open emails or download software to view such videos even if it's sent by someone you know
• Adjust the privacy settings on social networking sites you frequent to make it more difficult for people you know and do not know to post content to your page
• Keep your anti-virus programme up to date

Arunachal CM Dorjee Khandu killed in chopper crash...

External affairs minister SM Krishna on Wednesday condoled the sad demise of Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Dorjee Khandu, who has been killed in a chopper crash in Lobothong near Tawang District.

In a statement, Krishna said: "I am deeply pained to receive confirmation of the tragic and untimely demise of a great son of India and the chief minister of Arunachal Pradesh Dorjee Khandu."

"He was dedicated to the cause of improving the quality of lives of the people of the Indian State of Arunachal Pradesh," he added.

He further said: "In his (Khandu) death, the state and country has lost a visionary administrator and an excellent human being. I would like to convey my heartfelt condolences to members of his family and friends. 


   Arunachal Pradesh one of the most beautiful states of India n literally any one can see God in Nature and people there, but still Abundant ...

Ubuntu 11.04 'Natty Narwhal' makes splashy bebut

Users around the globe gain a free, cutting-edge Windows alternative.

Culminating months of increasingly eager anticipation, Canonical on Thursday released the final version of Ubuntu 11.04, also known as Natty Narwhal.

    The free and open source Linux distribution, which entered beta about a month ago, is now ready for download for laptops, desktops, netbooks and servers from the project's Web site, offering computer uses around the globe a no-cost, feature-packed alternative to Microsoft Windows and other operating systems.

Users of Ubuntu 10.10 will be offered an automatic upgrade to 11.04 via the Update Manager. Further information about upgrading can be found on the Ubuntu site.

New Features

There has been many changes in the Default application selection in the upcoming Ubuntu 11.04 Natty Narwhal from Ubuntu 10.10. Here’s some new features:

• Unity as been confirmed as default for Ubuntu 11.04 – desktop edition, the desktop version will use the global menu (AppMenu).
  
  
  

LibreOffice will likely be included in next version of Ubuntu if it’s ready.

Firefox 4 is still favored over Chrome as the default browser in Ubuntu. Chrome still poses too many challenges for Ubuntu (the release cycle doesn’t fit well with Ubuntu Update model and also there are issues with the Global Menu integrations and so on).



The decision to replace Evolution with Thunderbird in Ubuntu has been deferred. Hopefully Thunderbird will be ready in a cycle or two (it misses a calendar, exchange support, integration with appmenu and messaging menu).



Banshee will be included by default in Ubuntu 11.04 (and thus replace Rhythmbox)



Oneconf will be included by default in Ubuntu 11.04. OneConf is a mechanism for recording software information in Ubuntu One, and synchronizing with other computers as needed.



Gnome-dictionary will be removed from the CD



Nautilus Elementary was also brought up for discussion, but was rejected “because the patches are considered hacks”.



In Natty Narwhal Software Center “For Purchase” category will be updated with more commercial software. And you will be able to sponsor your favorite app by donating any money amount to developers.



GTK app Remmina will replace TSClient as the default remote desktop client in Ubuntu 11.04.

friends, i think many of you having problem to find the program paths as the interface is changed, so pls try Cairo Dock , which is dashing cool app like Mac Dock with lots n lots of graphics.. and u can easily take the start menu from it, which is not seen in Unity , try it...

Google Doodle celebrates Earth Day

Earth Day, which is held on April 22 every year, has been celebrated with an animated doodle by the search engine Google.
Hovering over different parts of the animated doodle produces a variety of actions, including a sneezing panda and a salmon leaping upstream before it is eaten by a bear.

...Earth Day is themed around “A billion acts of green”, a campaign to get people around the world to perform a billion separate acts of environmental service.

Current pledges on the Earth Day website include someone planning to reduce their CO2 footprint and a promise to save energy by turning off all unnecessary electrical appliances.

The first Earth Day, on April 22, 1970, got 20 million Americans from all walks of life involved in the environment and is widely credited with launching the modern environmental movement.
